Pismo proves scalability credentials in 25,000 TPS test with Tier 1 client

The numbers, performed in a stable environment, shows transaction capabilities our platform will only improve on

Pismo’s platform has again proven its credentials, hitting 25,000 transactions per second (TPS) during production tests with a major client in June

Pismo achieved these numbers during proof-of-concept work for a Tier 1 bank client. We provisioned around 100 million accounts in a database, selecting 200,000 for this specific test. During the test, each individual account proved capable of handling 5,000 TPS.

The test results showed the platform had room for even higher throughput, as we saw the underlying resources were far from full capacity. This means that in theory Pismo could provision more application instances and ingest more requests.

However in this instance the POC operated a stable, production-ready environment. This created realistic results based on typical transactional endpoints. The testing framework capped the numbers at 25,000.

Managing high transaction volumes is a benchmark for leading institutions to measure their market capabilities. Whether your business is in banking, e-commerce, or peer-to-peer payments, you need to handle growing transaction numbers without a drop in performance or reliability.

Scalable payment systems are characterised by flexibility, customisation, transparency, and adaptability. All characteristics the Pismo system displays in abundance.
