Pismo has won the IFTA Startup of the Year award at the IFTA Fintech and Innovation Awards, chosen over 23 other high-potential fintech companies.
Companies from the USA, Singapore, New Zealand, India, and Australia were on the award shortlist. Pismo was the only Latin American firm in the category.
The IFTA awards celebrate the best fintech developments across India. Run by the India FinTech Forum, the ceremony was held in the Sahara Star hotel in Mumbai.
“India and Asia are key markets for Pismo, so it’s fantastic to receive this special recognition from the Fintech Forum,” says Varun Dudeja, Head of Business Development for Asia at Pismo.
“India, in particular, is at the forefront of innovation across multiple industry verticals, and Pismo stands ready to provide the engine to power this change for financial institutions and fintechs.”
The India FinTech Forum counts 2,750 fintech companies, and over 30,000 individuals are members.
“India is on the cusp of a profound shift in how millions of citizens access financial services,” it writes on its website. “Innovative fintech startups will primarily lead this shift in collaboration with big banks or corporations.”
Pismo’s success at the awards demonstrates the waves we are making in India and beyond. 2022 saw Pismo its global reach by opening a new headquarters in Singapore.
The new location has underpinned our commitment to the region, one in which local banks and institutions have a keen interest in innovative and modern platforms.
